Board Meeting  9:00 : The board met to make a final decision on the Interior Room Renovations and the funding of it with an assessment of $300 per unit week. The vote was 5-0 in favor of both. The board did not take this decision lightly, but the assessment was the only way to fund the project in the time period we want to complete it in. The work will begin right away under the management of Tommy and Richard. Also, the budget for 2007 was presented by Tommy, with no increase in maintenance fees. This was great to hear considering the large increases in insurance premiums through out the state of Florida. The budget was also passed by a 5-0 vote and the meeting was adjourned.

Annual   Owners Meeting  10:00 :  After the opening formalities, we decided to devote the President’s Report to explaining what the Interior Room Renovations would consist of, and the Association Managers Report to answering questions about the project and the assessment to fund it. Everything in the Presidents Report has been available on the owner’s web site since the Aug. Board Meeting. That update is still available on this website following this update. Please, take time to read it at this time. Those attending the meeting were also shown a sample of the ceramic tile to be used and a presentation of the furniture to be used, by other members of the board. Next on the agenda was Tommy’s presentation of the 2007 budget. Tommy with good management, and help from Richard and the staff, was able to present a budget with no increase in maintenance fees. This brought us to the Association Managers Report. The owners had plenty of questions, Tommy, Richard, myself and other board members answered all the questions we were faced with. In the end, the owners left with a better understanding of the Interior Renovation Project and the reason the board chose to fund it with an assessment. The board and management left realizing that if the owners are better informed on what is going on at the Casa Blanca, they will better understand the reasons for our decision. I believe when the project is finished most of us owners will agree it was worth it. I will try to keep us owners more informed with the use of these updates. Last on the agenda was the election of the board of directors. The present board all agreed to serve another term, and in lieu of no opposition, the board was reelected to serve the 2007 term. With nothing left, the meeting was adjourned.
